The Fairbanks Community Band is a wind and percussion ensemble for adult musicians. We have a concert band, a jazz band, and a summer band which plays outdoor concerts. Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for adults to continue making music beyond the high school and college years, and to pass our enjoyment of live music on to the community in which we perform. Next Activities

All times given are the time we begin to play. Please allow time to park, set up for the event, tune, and generally be available for the downbeat before the start time. Unless otherwise stated, band members should be available for setup, sound check, and tuning 30 minutes before the stated time.

Concert Band:

Next rehearsal: Thursday, February 11, 7:00 pm. at Old Train Depot .
Next rehearsal is 6 of 9. Including February 11, 4 rehearsals remain until the concert on March 06.

Next concert: Saturday, March 06, 7:00 pm. at Pioneer Park Arts Center Concert theme: TBA.
Dress: Black and white.

Jazz Band:

Next rehearsal: Wednesday, February 10, 7:00 pm. at Old Train Depot .

Next concert: Thursday, April 15, 7:00 pm. at UAF Davis. Jazz Fest: time TBA.
Dress: Tan and blue.
